Six Sets Final Broadway Sing-Along Before Jan. 3 Close

Playbill reports Six will stage a last sing-along performance on October 29 ahead of its final Broadway show at the Lena Horne Theatre on January 3, 2027.

Playbill reports that Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss's Tony-winning hit *SIX* will stage one more sing-along performance before it closes, planned for October 29 at 7 PM. The sing-along format invites audience members to sing along to all their favorite songs from the histo-remix, in which the six wives of Henry VIII take the microphone to remix 500 years of historical heartbreak into what Playbill calls a celebration of 21st-century girl power. The final Broadway performance is set for the Lena Horne Theatre on January 3, 2027, after which the musical will have played 2,178 performances.

The closing marks the end of a Broadway run with an unusual origin story. According to Playbill, SIX's first preview came on February 13, 2020, and its original opening night coincided with the COVID-19 Broadway shutdown, making it the first new musical to open on Broadway after the pandemic, on October 3, 2021. Playbill also notes the show, which debuted at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, has won 35 international awards, including the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.

Playbill reports the current Broadway cast features Khaila Wilcoxon as Catherine of Aragon, Chloe Tucker Caine as Anne Boleyn, Natalie Paris as Jane Seymour, Olivia Donalson as Anna of Cleves, Aimie Atkinson as Katherine Howard, and Stephanie Jae Park as Catherine Parr, with alternates Lauryn Adams, Aryn Bohannon, Maggie Likcani, and Aiyana Smash. Paris and Atkinson can also be seen in *SIX The Musical Live!*, a capture film released by Universal Pictures Content Group in U.S. and Canadian cinemas August 14, per Playbill. Meanwhile, TicketNews reports Evan Alexander Smith joins *Stranger Things: The First Shadow* as Dr. Brenner from September 29 — another show closing January 3, 2027.

The Broadway close is not the end of the *SIX* phenomenon. Playbill reports the national tour continues throughout the U.S., while the show also keeps its reign in London's West End, tours the U.K. and Australia, returns to China later this year on a 12-week tour, and adds a new Spanish-language production opening in Madrid this September.
