According to Decider, this is the first season of Alan Cumming's reality competition to feature no Real Housewives, no Survivor stars, and not even a random relative of someone more famous — the guests at Ardross Castle in Scotland are all ordinary non-celebrities. It is also the first time the show is being broadcast on linear television, with Decider reporting that episodes air Thursdays on NBC before streaming on Peacock on Fridays. Two episodes dropped this week, two more arrive next week, and one will follow per week after that.

The ratings reversal is the story. According to The TV Ratings Guide, The Traitors: New Blood debuted at No. 3 on Peacock's chart after only a few hours of tracking, then improved to No. 1 the very next day. The outlet notes this is the first NBC series to reach the No. 1 position on Peacock since the network's regular-season programming went off the air in May, ending a quiet summer for NBC on the platform.

New Blood cut through all of that Bravo churn to take the crown.
