A viral stat shows Ravens backup Tyler Huntley has four wins after trailing in the final eight minutes, one more than Joe Burrow's lone such victory.

The stat that lit up NFL social media

According to AOL, which cited Pro Football Network, researcher Scott Kacsmar shared the figure: in wins after trailing in the last 8:00, Tyler Huntley has four and Joe Burrow has one.

Kacsmar added that three of Huntley's are very legit, including led clutch touchdown drives in the final minute when his team was down by four or more points. The post set off a wave of reactions, with one fan calling the stat insane and another writing that it cannot be a real statistic.

Why a backup outranks a superstar

The surprise is the contrast in reputation. AOL reports that earlier this season a statistic circulated showing Burrow had just one career win after trailing in the final eight minutes, while most of his peers had far better resumes in that situation.

Chris Williamson took notice of the new comparison, admitting that we are going to begin a dialogue.

The comeback that fueled the debate

Sunday Night Football supplied the latest entry. In the extra session, per WBAL-TV, the Ravens elected to receive after winning the coin toss and drove the length of the field, ending with a one-yard Huntley touchdown sneak.

Huntley was a perfect 11-for-11 across the final drive of the fourth quarter and overtime, with over 70 yards passing and two touchdowns.

How the finish was sealed

Atlanta got its chance to tie with just under three minutes left in overtime, but the Falcons turned to backup quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who replaced Michael Penix Jr. after an injury, as WBAL-TV and the Deseret News both report.

On his second pass, Kyle Hamilton, the Atlanta native, stepped in front of a throw intended for Drake London and intercepted it, capping the Baltimore win.

The Deseret News notes it was Huntley's third straight victory as a starter dating to 2025, and he finished 24 of 32 for 201 yards and two passing touchdowns plus a rushing score.

Grading the supporting cast

Yahoo Sports' Week 5 report card credited the clutch performances around Huntley.

The running game earned an A- after Baltimore ran for over 200 yards at 5.9 per carry, with Henry grinding out 102 yards and Justice Hill exploding for 73 yards on just four carries, including a 47-yard run from the fullback spot.

The edge rushers also graded A-: Mike Green added a sack and two tackles for loss, while Tavius Robinson recorded six tackles, a sack and the hit that knocked Penix from the game.

Tight end was the low point at D+, with Mark Andrews dropping a goal-line pass and fumbling into a Falcons touchdown, per Yahoo Sports.

Stakes and what comes next

The win moves the first-place Ravens to 4-1 and, in coach Jesse Minter's words, could be a launch point for the team to really get rolling, as WBAL-TV quoted him.

It also reinforces Baltimore's unusual security behind Jackson, who is sidelined by the ankle sprain suffered against Tennessee, per the Deseret News; Minter said no locker room in the NFL has more confidence in its backup quarterback.

For Burrow, AOL notes the 3-2 Bengals should give him opportunities to improve the comeback numbers, starting with a push toward the playoffs. Next up for Baltimore is a divisional trip to the 3-2 Browns on Sunday, Oct.
