Aaron Rodgers' estranged family attended his Steelers win over the Colts, the first game visit since their decade-long rift ended in 2026.

Family in the Stands at Acrisure Stadium

Aaron Rodgers had a very special crowd for the Pittsburgh Steelers' 34-22 Week 5 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 12: his family.

His parents, Ed and Darla, his older brother Luke and sister-in-law Aimee, and their three young children all came to cheer him on β€” the first time his family has attended a game since the feud ended, Page Six reports.

Luke shared the photos on Instagram the following Sunday, writing, "Last weekend was pretty special πŸ’›πŸ–€." Rodgers commented, "Planes, trains and renegade! Also misspelled cakes."

Why the Reunion Is So Surprising

For years, this scene seemed unthinkable. The rift became public in 2016, when younger brother Jordan β€” a contestant on The Bachelorette β€” said he hadn't spoken to Aaron in years, a story Aaron later disputed.

According to People, the family confirmed its estrangement that year, and the last major public outing together before the split was the 2012 Kentucky Derby.

A decade of silence followed, making Luke's cozy Instagram carousel of niece-and-nephew sideline moments a genuine reversal for a famously private, fractured family.

The Evidence: Photos of a Rebuilt Bond

The images tell the story plainly. Luke's Instagram shows Aaron squatting to talk with his niece in a pink jacket and Steelers jersey, posing with the kids on the field, and the children waving "Terrible Towels" from a suite.

Other snaps show Aaron with the kids at his house, according to Page Six. Earlier milestones are documented too: a July 2026 "bonding week" on Instagram with hugs from his mom Darla and a photo with his dad Ed, plus the April 2026 high school hall of fame reunion, per People.

Credit to His Wife Brittani

Rodgers has been open about who helped him reopen the door. "She is the big impetus behind that [reconciliation]," he told The Athletic in August, saying his wife Brittani never pushed him but that the way she loves and supports him "allowed me to open up to that possibility."

On the Not Just Football podcast, per People, he described the sequence: reconciling with his parents first, then meeting Luke in Nashville, then Jordan weeks later. "There were tough conversations for sure, but I'm just in a much better headspace," he said.

The Stakes of Closing the Circle

The reconciliation carries emotional weight beyond one game day.

"It's been a couple-year process of communication and spending time together, but that is a real blessing in my life to have those relationships back and to close that circle that was cut for so many years," Rodgers told The Athletic, according to the New York Post.

He also said on the Not Just Football podcast that a few years ago he would have sworn he would never reconcile, and that visiting his parents in the Chico house he built for them felt like "full circle."

What Comes Next in Rodgers' Farewell Season

The reunion arrives in what is expected to be Rodgers' final NFL season, Page Six reports, making the timing especially poignant for a family reclaiming lost years. Jordan wasn't at the Colts game weekend but "liked" Luke's post β€” a small signal the wider reconciliation is still moving forward.

Rodgers said he wants to keep family details private going forward but that reconnecting has been "really beautiful." After a decade apart, the family's next chapter β€” more sideline visits included β€” appears to be just beginning.
