JYP Entertainment announced Monday that ITZY's Chaeryeong will make her solo debut with the mini album "Lovesick," led by a title track of the same name, dropping November 9 at 6 p.m. KST.

The agency rolled out a promotional trailer, track list and promotion schedule across its official social media channels. Chaeryeong becomes the third ITZY member to pursue solo work, following Yeji, who debuted with the EP "Air" in March 2025, and Yuna, who released "Ice Cream" this past March.

A countdown livestream will warm up fans an hour before the release.

The trailer released with the announcement is structured like a storybook and portrays Chaeryeong as someone indifferent to nearly everything around her.

According to The Korea Times, a narrator says she stayed the same "in front of a birthday cake, when her phone caught fire, when she won the lottery, when the upstairs neighbors were noisy and even when the floor was covered in foam" — only to fall unexpectedly in love with an unidentified "it."

STARNEWS reports the quirky narrative maximizes curiosity and heightens expectations for the concept she will bring to her solo era.

The mini album carries four tracks: the title track "Lovesick" plus B-sides "Moonlit Club," "Scent" and "Favorite Reason."

Chosunbiz and other outlets highlight that Chaeryeong personally participated in writing the lyrics for track 4, "Favorite Reason," which the outlets frame as her way of infusing musical sensitivity and sincerity into her first step as a solo artist.

JYP described her to The Korea Times as a performer with stable live vocals, light, feathery dance moves and a lively presence on variety shows, adding that she will show a new side of herself as a soloist.

Having debuted with ITZY in 2019 with the digital single "IT'z Different" — a group known for hits like "Dalla Dalla" and "Wannabe" — Chaeryeong has built a reputation for her distinctive choreography and candid charm.

As the third member to go solo after Yeji and Yuna, her debut extends ITZY's members' parallel solo careers, giving the fandom a fresh performance identity to follow this fall alongside the group's own releases.

On debut day itself, STARNEWS reports Chaeryeong will host a countdown livestream at 5 p.m. KST to heat up the atmosphere an hour before the album goes live at 6 p.m.

The Korea Daily says the album will be available across various online music sites the moment it drops, giving MIDZY a same-evening listening plan.
