Business filings cited by WWD show Victoria Beckham has put over $3 million into 15-year-old Harper's skincare line Harlo by Harper, slated for 2027.
The reveal: Harlo by Harper is already a funded company
HELLO! Magazine reports that Victoria Beckham confirmed on *Today with Jenna & Sheinelle* that her 15-year-old daughter Harper is building a beauty brand — pitched, the singer says, via two PowerPoints: one arguing for a beauty brand, the other for a perm ('no to the perm,' Victoria replied).
The financial detail is the real news: according to ZNews, citing Women's Wear Daily, filings released in early October show Victoria has invested over $3 million in the project, recorded as 'brand building,' with the company also carrying roughly $3.4 million in outstanding debt payable within a year.
The brand, Harlo by Harper, is expected to launch in 2027, though the Beckham family has not officially announced the plans.
Why it's surprising: a GCSE student with a holding company
What makes this more than a celebrity-kid vanity project is the infrastructure already in place.
ZNews reports that trademark registrations from October 2024 show Victoria Beckham and partner Oliver Shipton established a holding company called H7B Ltd — a nod to Harper Seven Beckham's full name — and that a US trademark application for Harlo by Harper was filed on June 3.
The registered scope is vast for a first launch: acne treatments, cleansers, moisturisers, sunscreen, makeup, fragrance, hair and body care, soaps, shampoos and antibacterial sanitiser.
HELLO! notes the line is reportedly created for acne-prone skin, and that the project was originally called HIKU by Harper before being scrapped over potential trademark conflicts.
The origin story: unsuitable products and a dermatologist visit
The most quotable detail in the pack is the brand's personal backstory, told by Victoria to entrepreneur Emma Grede and quoted by HELLO!
Magazine: Harper 'used to have beautiful skin, but like all young girls she was enticed by beauty brands' and piled on products not suited to her skin, ending up at a dermatologist 'because her skin was really, really bad.'
Victoria says she empathises completely — 'I suffered with child acne, teen acne and adult acne. Every acne under the sun, I've been there.'
A skincare brand born from a teenage product overdose, aimed at the same problem, is a pitch that lands with any reader who has over-exfoliated.
The family machine behind it — and the sceptics
The Independent's columnist argues Harlo is part of a wider 'Brand Beckham' expansion — alongside Victoria's new Westwing tableware collaboration, which the same column pans as 'mediocre tableware range at top-notch prices,' and Romeo's streetwear label — and notes Victoria is 'pouring more than £2m into' the venture before Harper has sat her GCSEs.
ZNews reports Victoria Beckham Holdings turned a £7.3 million operating profit for 2025, its first profitable year and fifth consecutive year of double-digit revenue growth, which gives the family a credible beauty playbook.
But it also flags the debate around teen skincare brands, citing The Guardian's reporting that dermatologists say children don't need the multi-step routines viralised on TikTok.
The teen beauty market Harlo is walking into
ZNews situates Harlo in a fast-forming niche: Salish Matter, a 16-year-old YouTuber, co-founded Sincerely Yours, which launched at Sephora in the US in September 2025 and drew over 80,000 attendees to its American Dream Mall launch event, while 14-year-old Coco Granderson co-founded Yes Day in Los Angeles, targeting 10-to-16-year-olds with age-appropriate products.
That means Harper arrives not as a first mover but as a well-funded contender in a segment where teen founders market directly to their own generation.
ZNews notes the market raises questions about commercialising beauty needs at a young age, even as it rewards founders who understand their audience.
What comes next: 2027 launch, exams first
According to ZNews, WWD expects Harlo by Harper to reach the market in 2027, though retail partners, the product development team and the operational structure have not been disclosed.
On *Today*, Victoria struck a patient tone, telling the hosts that Harper 'has a passion' and a 'dream,' but 'she's young. She's in school.
She's about to take her exams,' and that the beauty brand conversation waits until her daughter is older. Harper has already fronted her mother's brand once, appearing in a July 2025 Colour Wash makeup tutorial for Victoria Beckham Beauty.
Whether a PowerPoint-pitching 15-year-old becomes 2027's breakout skincare founder is now, formally, a company in progress.
