Trafalgar Replacing live-broadcast BTS's Buenos Aires and São Paulo Arirang concerts to cinemas worldwide, the first South American BTS shows screened globally in real time.

A First for a South American BTS Show

For fans who could not reach Bogotá, Lima, Santiago, La Plata or São Paulo in October, Latin Times reports that BTS offered another door: the Buenos Aires and São Paulo performances were broadcast live to movie theaters worldwide through Trafalgar Releasing.

According to Latin Times, this is the first time any BTS concert originating from South America has been screened globally in real time, meaning the region that waited the longest for the group finally hosted the source of a worldwide cinema event.

Trafalgar Releasing CEO Marc Allenby framed the screenings as part of what he called 'BTS' comeback of the decade,' noting that the package included the group's first-ever Argentina performance.

Why It Matters for ARMY

The cinema broadcasts mattered precisely because demand overwhelmed supply.

Latin Times reports that ARMY membership pre-sale tickets for all five South American cities were exhausted within hours in April, prompting BTS to add one extra show each in Lima, Santiago and Buenos Aires on April 8, 2026 — and even 14 sold-out stadium nights could not absorb the region's demand.

The global screening meant a fan in any country could watch the historic Argentina debut nights, the group's first full-group concerts there since debuting in 2013, without a plane ticket.

The Tour the Cinemas Captured

Both outlets corroborate the shape of the run the screenings broadcast: 14 sold-out stadium shows across five countries from October 2 through October 31, drawing 853,000 concertgoers, supporting the March 2026 album ARIRANG — BTS's fifth LP and first fully original studio album since 2020.

The Straits Times adds color on the São Paulo finale itself, reporting that Jin and RM wore the cocar, a sacred Indigenous feather headdress, and that the septet appeared in Brazilian football uniforms, while J-Hope told the closing crowd that South America was one of the schedules the members had looked forward to most.

Where the Tour Goes Next

With the cinema event closed, both outlets agree on what follows: an Asian and Australian leg, beginning in Kaohsiung on November 19, 2026, with Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and four Singapore nights through December 29 before Melbourne and Sydney in February.

Latin Times also points to the region's measurable afterglow — Peru's tourism ministry projected $19 million in impact from the Lima shows, Bogotá flight bookings rose 46.6% year over year, and Lima staged the first BTS-themed drone show in South America — suggesting demand that could shape future routing decisions as the Arirang tour moves toward its Oceania wrap in early 2027.
