On Jimmy Kimmel Live, 50 Cent claimed Diddy mailed him a funeral arrangement at a Miami club after watching his Netflix documentary from prison.
The Reveal on Kimmel
Appearing on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday, October 13, to promote the upcoming Street Fighter movie, 50 Cent repeated his claim that Sean "Diddy" Combs sent him a funeral-style flower arrangement after watching his Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which XXL Mag notes won an Emmy Award in September.
According to XXL Mag and Complex, the rapper said the arrangement arrived while he was at Miami's Club E11EVEN: "I was like, 'Yo, who sent me?' And I was like, 'Oh, okay. I know where it came from.'"
Watched on a Jailbroken iPad
The most surprising detail may be how the disgraced mogul allegedly saw the documentary at all.
50 Cent told Kimmel he did not expect Diddy to get "a jailbroken iPad in the middle of jail," and HotNewHipHop reports he described FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, where Combs is serving a 50-month sentence, dismissively as "a club."
Fif joked, per Complex, "I'm sure [he] thought it was the best documentary he ever saw in his life," a line aimed at the docuseries he executive produced.
Watch 50 Cent Tell It
The interview itself is the story: as XXL Mag describes it, Kimmel pressed Fif on the flowers, he confirmed Diddy sent "like, a funeral [basket]" at Club E11EVEN, and then delivered the comeback line of the night.
When Kimmel asked what he sent back, 50 Cent replied, "A bump on the head," a quip about Diddy's recent hospital trip. Kimmel's on-air assessment — "You don't really seem to have fear or common sense," per HotNewHipHop — captures why the exchange went viral.
The 'Bump on the Head' Joke
The retaliation gag refers to a real medical event. XXL Mag and The Mirror US report Combs was taken from Fort Dix to a hospital early Saturday, October 10, with a non-life-threatening head injury and returned hours later.
But the cause is contested: TMZ reported a fight with Christopher "Dudus" Coke on Friday, October 9, while Page Six's sources, as cited by The Mirror US, say he simply bumped his head on a top bunk bed and is doing much better now.
Diddy's Camp Says It Didn't Happen
There is a flat denial on the record.
Complex reports that when the flowers claim first surfaced in December 2025 — days after The Reckoning premiered, with a photo 50 Cent posted on Instagram showing a card addressed to E11EVEN where he performed during Miami Art Week — a spokesperson for Diddy told the outlet the delivery "didn't happen," suggesting "perhaps someone played a joke in poor taste."
So the story is 50 Cent's account against a denial, with the outlets reporting his retelling rather than confirming the delivery.
Solitary, Shifted Release Date
The context around the joke is grimmer. Combs is reportedly in solitary confinement after video emerged in September appearing to show him using a contraband cellphone, and NBC News reported he had been spending on massages, alcohol and nude photos, according to The Mirror US.
XXL Mag adds that his release date has been pushed back to March 2, 2028, from a previously set January 21, 2028. Meanwhile, 50 Cent is teasing security: on the Flagrant podcast this week, Complex reports, he jokingly warned he'd recruit "shooters" when Diddy gets out.
