Marvel Television announced at NYCC 2026 that 'Zodiac,' a live-action global spy thriller, will shoot in London and premiere on Disney+ in 2028.
A Secret Spy Thriller Unveiled at NYCC
At Marvel Television and Marvel Animation's New York Comic Con panel on October 8, 2026, Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise, announced Marvel Television's 'Zodiac,' a new live-action series debuting on Disney+ in 2028.
Both marvel.com and Variety report the project is a global spy thriller, with shooting set to begin in London in spring 2027 and casting starting within a couple of weeks.
Winderbaum kept specifics tightly guarded, telling the crowd, "No, I can't tell you anything else about it yet because it's a secret!"
The Logo Is a Puzzle for Comics Readers
That invitation to decode the branding is aimed squarely at longtime readers of the Marvel comics character, and it has already become the detail fans are picking apart.
Variety, which also published the first-look logo image, notes that no additional details were immediately available beyond the production timeline.
Why This Announcement Is a Big Deal
According to Variety, 'Zodiac' is the first new live-action show Marvel has announced since last year's 'Ironheart,' making it a significant signal for the MCU's television slate.
That outlet frames the news against a period of endings and cancellations: 'Wonder Man' was canceled just months after its January premiere despite a season-two renewal and an Emmy nomination for Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and 'Daredevil: Born Again' will conclude with next year's third season.
In that context, a brand-new, grounded spy thriller — rather than a spinoff of an existing show — reads as Marvel Television opening a genuinely fresh chapter.
What Comes Next for 'Zodiac'
The road map is clear on logistics, if not on story. Casting begins within the next couple of weeks, per both marvel.com and Variety, and cameras roll in London in spring 2027 ahead of a 2028 Disney+ premiere.
Until Marvel breaks its self-imposed secrecy, the logo remains the only clue fans get to study.
