Boutte had been one of quarterback Drake Maye's most reliable deep targets during the Patriots' run to Super Bowl LX. According to NFL.com, Boutte caught seven passes for 141 yards and a touchdown in playoff wins over the Chargers and Texans. The Athletic notes that Boutte posted 33 receptions for 551 yards and six touchdowns in the 2025 season, and his nine touchdown receptions over the past two seasons were tied with tight end Hunter Henry for the most by any Patriots player in that span.
