Charli xcx brought Chappell Roan, PinkPantheress and The Dare onstage at the Kia Forum, ending a decade-long live ban on 'Boom Clap' this era.
A Pop Gathering at the Kia Forum
She opened with 'Rock Music,' the lead track from her eighth studio album, then welcomed Chappell Roan for a duet on 'Boom Clap,' brought out PinkPantheress for 'Stateside,' and closed the surprises with The Dare on 'Guess,' the Billie Eilish collaboration.
Outlets report cannons fired pairs of underwear into the packed arena crowd during that final number.
Why the Roan Duet Matters
According to Rolling Stone via Yahoo, the 'Boom Clap' duet marked the first time Charli has performed the 2014 song live in the Brat/Music, Fashion, Film era.
Charli told the crowd she plays an old song every tour night, and that Roan agreed on one condition: "The only way I'm doing it is if it's this song."
The Evidence on Stage
Fan-captured footage circulated immediately, corroborated across the pack's outlets. A post from the @dailyroan account shows Roan and Charli performing 'Boom Clap' at the show, while @pantheressluv shared clip of PinkPantheress singing 'Stateside' with Charli.
Far Out Magazine notes Roan's appearance capped a busy week that also saw her release a new version of 'Expectations' with Olivia Rodrigo. InMusic adds that The Dare, name-checked in 'Guess,' completed the guest run in Inglewood.
The Stakes for Music, Fashion, Film
The tour supports Music, Fashion, Film, released July 24, which per InMusic debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 78,000 equivalent units and 57,000 pure sales — Charli's biggest U.S. opening week and fourth Top 10 — while hitting No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart.
The album shifts toward rock textures after Brat and her February 2026 Wuthering Heights soundtrack. Not every outlet is sold: Far Out gave the album a two-star review, calling it an after-party you never wanted to attend — making the guest-heavy live show a pointed counterargument.
What Comes Next on the Tour
The North American arena run, which began September 11 in Philadelphia with Underscores supporting, continued with a second Kia Forum show on October 18 before heading to Glendale, Arizona, and wrapping at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on October 23, per InMusic.
Charli then takes a break before the 2027 UK and European leg, with Audrey Hobert opening dates in Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Amsterdam and Paris.
Rolling Stone notes that at Austin City Limits last weekend, Tinashe performed 'Melatonin' and 'Nobody Wanna Dance Anymore' live for the first time as Charli's guest.
