Danone USA has voluntarily recalled So Delicious Salted Caramel Cluster non-dairy frozen dessert pints nationwide over possible stones in the cashews.

Danone USA has issued a voluntary recall of So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints, according to reports from NBC Connecticut and LiveNOW from FOX. The company said the dessert may contain "foreign materials, such as small stones and other hard objects, within the cashew inclusions." The recall applies to pints with best-by dates on or before April 3, 2028, and the affected pints were distributed at retail stores nationwide.

What makes this recall notable for shoppers is that it is the second time in less than a year the same product has been pulled for the same reason. NBC Connecticut reports the Salted Caramel Cluster pints were recalled for the identical issue last December. Geo News adds that the recalled pints were sold at retailers across the U.S., including Target and Walmart, meaning the affected pints could be sitting in freezers nationwide a second time.

According to the FDA's recall notice, as reported by NBC Connecticut, the latest issue was discovered through customer complaints about the dessert. LiveNOW from FOX, citing the FDA, reports that affected pints carry the SKU "136603" and UPC "744473476138," and that the FDA says Danone USA is working with retail partners to remove affected product from shelves. The FDA also notes that unaffected product remains available and product shipped going forward is not affected. It is unclear how many pints have been recalled, per LiveNOW from FOX.

The recall covers one of the brand's popular dairy-free desserts, a category shoppers often choose specifically for dietary reasons, so confusion about which products are safe matters. NBC Connecticut reports that no other So Delicious Dairy Free products were affected, which the company emphasized as it works to remove the impacted pints from shelves. The company acknowledged on its website, as quoted by NBC Connecticut: "We know this is not the quality you expect from us." Anyone who consumed an affected pint and feels unwell should consult a health care provider, per Geo News.

Customers who purchased the recalled pints should not consume them, according to NBC Connecticut and LiveNOW from FOX. So Delicious Dairy Free is offering a replacement coupon or refund through its Consumer Care Line, which LiveNOW from FOX reports can be reached at 1-833-367-8975. The company said on its website, per NBC Connecticut, that it has "identified and corrected this issue and will soon be able to bring the product back to market safely." Shoppers should check their freezers for pints with best-by dates on or before April 3, 2028.
