Kim Kardashian says she believed Sarah Paulson's deep 'All's Fair' voice was real for over a year, until a Rome promo trip revealed the truth.
A deep voice hid in plain sight for a year
Kim Kardashian confessed on 'Good Morning America' on November 4 that she had believed for more than a year that the unusually deep voice Sarah Paulson uses as Carrington Lane on 'All's Fair' was her natural speaking voice, Fakti.bg reports, citing Page Six.
The misunderstanding only unraveled during a promotional trip to Rome a few weeks ago, when Kardashian learned the gravelly register was a crafted performance choice.
Fakti.bg notes Paulson could hardly believe her friend had failed to notice the difference for so long — a reveal that lands as a testament to just how complete Paulson's character transformation is.
Offbeat academia: the press tour look
W Magazine spotted Paulson heading into New York City's ABC Studios in a Michael Kors Collection spring 2027 look it describes as 'fraternity bro with fantasy glow': a green striped polo layered over a crisp white collar above a billowing dark skirt scattered with sequin floral appliqués.
Just the day before, W Magazine says she arrived at the Four Seasons in schoolboy trousers of 'unbelievably enormous proportions,' styled with a high-neck jacket and sleek brown bag.
W Magazine credits stylist Karla Welch with the long-running collaboration that has twisted bows, white tees and suiting all press tour long, including a Roksanda dress with exaggerated leather hips.
Giggles, snacks and set chemistry
Fakti.bg adds that co-star Niecy Nash-Betts says Kardashian and Paulson often broke into laughter on camera, and once were asked to walk around the building to calm down before filming resumed.
Kardashian also admitted she snacks on the food prepared for scenes — which Nash-Betts says her slender frame should not fool anyone about.
The outlet frames the pair's friendship as one of the most pleasant surprises of a production whose first season was harshly panned, with Paulson among those who encouraged Kardashian to keep acting after the negative reviews made her doubt her future.
Season 2 raises the stakes
The second season of Ryan Murphy's legal drama premiered November 4 on Hulu, with Kardashian playing divorce attorney Allura Grant opposite a cast Fakti.bg lists as Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson and Niecy Nash-Betts.
According to W Magazine, season 2 has already received marginally more positive reviews than the widespread critical panning of season 1, and Paulson's twisted takes on preppy signatures 'only add to the dramedy's camp.'
With the voice reveal now public and the looks trending, the press tour has become the show's best marketing.
