RaKai Denies Reggie's Abuse Claim, Breaks Silence

Two days after Reggie Travers went public, 17-year-old RaKai has issued a flat denial of the viral abuse allegation and asked fans not to believe everything online.

According to The Times of India, Twitch streamer RaKai has responded to the childhood abuse allegations made by fellow streamer Reggie, also known as Lil Rodney Son, in a statement shared on X and repeated during an Instagram Live session. RaKai denied ever being abused or touched inappropriately while growing up, saying this included both family members and friends. He wrote, "I never got touched in any way growing up and not by my family or my friends," and added that he already gets enough hate and controversy without the claim on his back.

Reggie's September 27 video, titled "THE TRUTH ABOUT ME AND EVERYTHING PART 1," had gone massively viral — EURweb and USA TODAY via Yahoo report it drew over 642,000 YouTube views, with one X repost by @FearedBuck passing 8.8 million views. The Times of India also notes RaKai expressed concern for Reggie even while maintaining the claims about his own childhood are not true.

Per USA TODAY reporting cited by Yahoo, Reggie Travers — who streams as Girlhefunny1 and counts over 1.1 million Twitch followers and 569,000 YouTube subscribers — tearfully accused his brother of sexually abusing him, saying, "My brother, he took advantage of me… I'm not scared no more." EURweb emphasizes that Reggie's allegation about his own brother and his separate assertion about RaKai are distinct claims, and that he did not identify who allegedly harmed RaKai or provide details. During a September 27 livestream at the Ravens-Cowboys game in Brazil, RaKai briefly reacted to a chat message asking who "took advantage" of him before moving on, per Yahoo.

The Times of India reports RaKai said the allegations were adding to the hate and controversy he already faced online, asking viewers to be careful about believing everything they read on social media. The stakes are high for Kai Cenat as well: Yahoo reports Reggie directly called out Cenat, saying, "Kai, you wrong as hell, 'cause you know somebody took advantage of RaKai," and urged him to encourage RaKai to speak up.
