Turnstile capped their NEVER ENOUGH TOUR with a free National Mall benefit show, drawing 60,000 fans and more than doubling the fundraising goal.
What Happened on the National Mall
On Saturday, October 24, Baltimore hardcore band Turnstile staged a free benefit concert at the Washington Monument, closing the latest leg of their NEVER ENOUGH TOUR with their biggest hometown-area gathering yet.
The band organized the show with Human Concern International to fund humanitarian relief in Palestine, Sudan, and Lebanon, and frontman Brendan Yates framed the day as a homecoming, telling The Washington Post, "This is a scene that raised us."
Why a Hardcore Band Headlining the Mall Is Rare
Paste also reports that the benefit far outstripped early expectations — organizers initially aimed to raise $100,000, but by Sunday the fundraiser had surpassed $220,000. Primetimer, citing a report, puts the total at $221,000 by October 25.
For a genre that grew up in basements, that is a stunning scale-up.
The Video: Chants 'Loud Enough for the White House to Hear It'

Midway through the 19-song, 75-minute set, Paste Magazine reports that Yates thanked the crowd and told them, "We're so grateful to have been raised by this scene, one that taught us that music not only reflects the artist making it but the people and the world and the suffering and the joy that surrounds it."
He then led the chant "Loud enough for the White House to hear it: Free Palestine! Free Sudan! Free Lebanon!" — the moment turning a charity gig into an explicit protest show, echoing the outlets' framing that what's more hardcore than a protest song is a protest show.
The Evidence: Setlist, Grammys, and a Banner Year
The set stretched from "Real Thing" and "Mystery" to "HOLIDAY," "BLACKOUT," and "NEVER ENOUGH," with Consequence reporting that Yates iced an injured ankle after weeks of touring yet still delivered the full performance.
The show caps a remarkable run: Paste reports the band became the first act nominated across Rock, Metal, and Alternative Grammy categories in one year, winning Best Rock Album for Never Enough and Best Metal Performance for "Birds," with Consequence confirming two 2026 Grammy wins and an SNL debut earlier this month.
Primetimer adds that the band staged a free 2025 Baltimore show that raised over $35,000 for Health Care for the Homeless.
What Comes Next
The fundraiser proceeds flow to Human Concern International for basics like food, water, and medical aid in Palestine, Sudan, and Lebanon, and Primetimer quotes the group's global director Hassan Wadi thanking the band for help when affected people needed food, water, medical aid, and shelter.
Tour-wise, Consequence reports Turnstile will appear at Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles in November before returning to the festival circuit in 2027.
With donation totals doubling the announced goal, the question now is whether other touring bands follow Turnstile's free-benefit template at landmark scale.
