Lynsi Snyder says In-N-Out is eyeing Oklahoma, Arkansas and Mississippi as the chain follows its Texas-to-Tennessee supply corridor eastward.

What In-N-Out's CEO just revealed

In-N-Out's owner and president, Lynsi Snyder, says the burger chain is considering expansion into three new states: Oklahoma, Arkansas and Mississippi.

KOCO reports that Snyder announced the shortlist in a video posted to In-N-Out's website, while a separate interview with actor Terry Crews surfaced the same list.

"If you look at the map, you've got Texas. There's Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma. There are some states that are possibilities," Snyder said. She did not say whether any active conversations are underway about where or when a restaurant could open in Oklahoma, leaving fans to speculate.

Why this is the fan-tracking detail that matters

For burger devotees, the reveal is less about the states than the logic behind them. According to Yahoo, In-N-Out does not use frozen beef and requires every location to sit within a day's drive of one of its seven primary distribution centers — the reason the famously Cali chain grows so slowly.

Snyder told Crews the company's ability to deliver fresh meat from its Texas warehouse is what made the Tennessee expansion possible, and the corridor between Texas and Tennessee runs straight through the three states now on the table.

How the chain picks its next market

Yahoo reports that Snyder-Ellingson, granddaughter of founders Harry and Esther Snyder, shared some rare details on how In-N-Out chooses future markets.

The company keeps a state-by-state record of customer requests for new restaurants and weighs that demand alongside real estate research, distribution logistics and its longstanding commitment to controlled growth.

"We have a whole sheet of the different states and how many requests we get from each state," she said. No timing details were given, though the interview marked the chain's 78th anniversary.

The map is moving — what comes next

The chain now has more than 400 locations across 10 states, KOCO reports. The closest In-N-Out for Oklahomans remains in Denton, Texas, while New Mexico is set to get its first location next year after 2025 expansions into Washington and Tennessee.

Five Tennessee stores are open with another listed as opening soon, per Yahoo. Snyder noted New Mexico "has been waiting for us, and that will be soon," signaling the golden arrow may not be far behind for the three corridor states — no dates promised.
