According to Anime Trending, COVER Corp. used the September 7, 2026 'hololive Next' broadcast — kicking off the countdown to hololive production's 10th anniversary — to officially confirm that a television anime featuring hololive talents is in production. The project goes by the working title 'Odeholo,' with its full title, story details, and cast still under wraps. Anime Trending reports the anime has been in development for roughly five years, and that Studio KAI has been assigned to handle the animation production.

Rather than a one-off announcement, the anime anchors what COVER calls the 'Production Renewal,' a rebrand rolling out over the year leading to the 10th anniversary on September 7, 2027. Anime Trending frames the anime and a new talent unit as the centerpieces of a far broader overhaul of the entire agency.
The September 23 Reveal Program
Per Anime Trending, a dedicated 'Odeholo' Information Reveal Program will run September 23, 2026, from 20:00 to 21:00 JST on the anime's official YouTube channel (@odeholo). Shirakami Fubuki and Ookami Mio will host, with guests Momosuzu Nene, Omaru Polka, Yukihana Lamy, and Shishiro Botan. The same broadcast also debuted a new talent unit teased as 'ASOBI★MAWARI-TAI!' ('Playground Squad'), via a teaser video titled 'Welcome to Our Playground!' that covers hololive's history while hinting at incoming members, with more details promised throughout September.

Anime Trending details further Renewal elements: a refreshed hololive logo retaining the signature triangle and blue motif; a shift from regional to language-based branding that consolidates sub-brands like hololive Indonesia, hololive English, and hololive DEV_IS under one banner; visual outfit and model updates for roughly five to eight talents annually, starting with Generation 0's Tokino Sora; and a new streaming app, hololive raku, with upgraded lighting, 'holoEmotion' expression tech, and YouTube-chat-linked mini-games. Separately, IXBT.games reports new stills from the 'Made in Abyss: The Secret of the Awakening' film — premiering October 23, 2026 — offer the first official look at the character Nishagora, with its main theme composed by Kevin Penkin in collaboration with hololive VTuber Mori Calliope.
