HYBE CINE FEST Goes Global With BTS Live From Buenos Aires

HYBE CINE FEST 2026 expands worldwide for the first time to over 60 territories, bookended by live BTS broadcasts from Buenos Aires and São Paulo.

HYBE and Trafalgar Releasing announced that HYBE CINE FEST 2026 will run in cinemas from October 24 through October 31, expanding worldwide for the first time to more than 60 territories. The festival debuted in Latin America in 2024 — drawing about 260,000 moviegoers, per The Straits Times — and moved across Asia in 2025 with roughly 320,000 attendees. This year's edition scales the format into a truly global affair: The Straits Times reports more than 1,100 theatres across roughly 50 countries, with screenings in Singapore at Shaw Theatres and an exclusive Korean run at Lotte Cinema. Six distinct presentations make up the lineup, anchored by BTS.

The festival opens with a live viewing of the BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' from Buenos Aires — described by the outlets as the first-ever BTS Live Viewing broadcast from South America and BTS' first-ever performance in Argentina — screening October 24 in the Americas and October 25 elsewhere. The week closes with a live broadcast from São Paulo on October 30 (October 31 internationally), one of three shows at Estádio MorumBIS that HYBE and Trafalgar call the grand finale of the tour's Latin American leg. They are the fourth and fifth cinema broadcasts of the ARIRANG tour, following Goyang, Tokyo and Busan.

Between the live broadcasts, the festival presents full-length concert films from three HYBE acts: SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR 'NEW_', framed as a bold new era beyond the group's 10th anniversary; TOMORROW X TOGETHER's ACT : TOMORROW, the group's fourth world tour; and ENHYPEN WORLD TOUR 'BLOOD SAGA', revisiting the Seoul show that opened the tour. The sixth title is the HYBE CHEERING PARTY in 3D, an interactive screening where fans chant and sing along to 3D-enhanced lyrics spanning 13 roster acts including LE SSERAFIM, &TEAM, BOYNEXTDOOR, TWS, ILLIT, KATSEYE, aoen, CORTIS and SANTOS BRAVOS.

The festival's Special Location program — previously limited to Latin America and Asia — is expanding to North America and Europe this year, according to the announcement. Special Location Plus cinemas will offer interactive zones, official merchandise and limited-edition capsule toys, while standard Special Location venues add photo zones and message walls. The Straits Times reports attractions including light-stick customising stations, with pop-up retail in cities like Los Angeles and Paris and flagship activations at venues such as Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul, per The Korea Times via Qazinform.

The global rollout arrives as live performance is doing heavy lifting in HYBE's results, per Music Business Worldwide: concert revenue rose 243.3% year-on-year to KRW 647.7 billion (about USD $432 million) in Q2 2026, driven by the BTS tour. Trafalgar, which has put BTS in cinemas since 2018's Burn the Stage: The Movie, previously grossed USD $32.6 million in a single day for the Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul broadcast in March 2022. Trafalgar CEO Marc Allenby says combining concert films, 3D cheering parties and landmark live broadcasts in one week gives fans 'an unprecedented way' to celebrate together.

Tickets go on sale internationally on Wednesday, September 30 at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST (10pm Korea time, per Qazinform), with Korean sales opening October 15 at 10am. Programming schedules and regional showtimes will be posted at hybecinefest.com, while the two BTS Live Viewing broadcasts use specific live and delayed broadcast times listed at btsliveviewing.com. HYBE's ARIRANG tour is slated for 82 shows in 34 cities across 23 countries, with Japanese and Middle Eastern dates still to be announced for 2027 — meaning the cinema format could keep growing alongside the tour.
