Yeezy has announced its first runway show in over four years, set for November 4 at the brand's new Los Angeles flagship store.

Yeezy Sets Its First Show in Four Years

Yeezy has officially announced a runway show titled Season 01, taking place on Wednesday, November 4 at 8 p.m. local time at the Yeezy Flagship Droam 1 store at 4317 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles.

According to Complex, it will be the first Yeezy brand runway show in over four years, confirming reports from Lauren Sherman of Puck News that Ye was planning a return to the runway.

Why the Comeback Is So Surprising

The announcement comes after years in which Yeezy seemed permanently sidelined.

As nss magazine recounts, the brand fell into deep crisis beginning in 2022 after an off-calendar Paris show where models wore "White Lives Matter" shirts, followed by antisemitic remarks from Ye that triggered the end of the multibillion-dollar adidas partnership, with Balenciaga, Gap and talent agency CAA also cutting ties.

Ye has since apologized, attributing some actions to the bipolar disorder he has spoken about publicly. nss magazine frames the show as a possible fresh start, while questioning whether a loyal audience still exists.

Signs of a Revival Were Already Showing

The runway return follows earlier steps toward rebuilding. Complex reports that Ye did a soft relaunch of the Yeezy brand earlier this year, selling basic pieces on its website, and partnered with JD Sports to stock Yeezy Slides and other footwear.

According to nss magazine, JD Sports began selling Yeezy sneakers in its stores and online starting in August, moving inventory that had been left in warehouses after the adidas partnership ended. The show at the new flagship store extends that return to physical retail.

The Stakes: A Changed Market

Beyond the show itself, nss magazine argues the real challenge is a market profoundly different from the one Yeezy once dominated.

Trends have shifted, consumer tastes have evolved, and Yeezys — once ubiquitous and coveted — are described as almost invisible today, along with the style that made the brand instantly recognizable. nss magazine also notes Ye's fanbase may have changed in light of recent controversies, from the Bianca Censori relationship to harassment allegations by a former assistant and shows banned in Italy and Russia.

Whether Season 01 can rebuild the brand's image and find an audience for its values and aesthetic remains the open question.
