Consequence reports South Korean indie band HYUKOH will release 33 on November 25 and play their first US dates since Coachella 2019.
HYUKOH End a Six-Year Album Gap With 33
According to Consequence of Sound, South Korean indie rock band HYUKOH have announced a new album, 33, arriving November 25th — their first release of their own in six years, since the 2020 EP through love.
The outlet notes the title continues the band's number-themed catalog, following EPs such as 20, 22, 23 and 24, and that the cover art was created by artist Minjeong An.
Three singles have already surfaced, per Consequence: the funky, jam-worthy "Godspeed!" released in August, the danceable, big beat-esque "KoK," and "losing day," described as a chic, upbeat tune.
A press release quoted by the outlet says the band "enter a new phase of their story," reaffirming the restless creativity that has made them, in the release's words, one of the most compelling bands to emerge from South Korea in the past decade. Fans can pre-save the record now.
First US Shows Since 2019's Coachella Moment
Consequence reports the album announcement comes paired with something even rarer: HYUKOH's first U.S. tour dates since 2019, when the band last played the country on stage at Coachella.
The band has mapped a 12-date spring 2027 tour across Asia, North America and the U.K., opening January 16–17 at Seoul's Olympic Hall and touching Taipei, Tokyo, Toronto and London.
The stateside run begins March 27th at the Novo in Los Angeles, then moves to San Francisco's Regency Ballroom, Seattle's Showbox, Knoxville's Big Ears Festival on April 3rd, Chicago's Metro, and Brooklyn's Paramount on April 9th to close the U.S. leg.
Consequence says tickets are available via Ticketmaster and that more dates will be announced — so devoted fans should expect the map to keep growing.
Why the Comeback Matters
The gap years were not idle: Consequence notes HYUKOH spent the stretch releasing collaborative albums with Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster in 2024 and 2025 rather than records under their own name.
The spring routing also reads as a statement of scale — Olympic Hall in Seoul and Big Ears Festival in Knoxville on the same itinerary places the band across festival prestige, theater rooms and underground credibility at once.
Meanwhile, the announcement lands in a crowded news week: Consequence's music desk also carried Alanis Morissette's first holiday album, Nick Cave's "Conversations" tour and newly issued John Coltrane recordings the same days.
Kings of Leון Map a Monster 2027 Run
The tour-news week is not HYUKOH's alone. mxdwn Music reports Kings Of Leon released their tenth studio album, O My Beloved, via Love Tap Records, and marked it with an expansive North American tour running from May 8th at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia to October 15th at Madison Square Garden in New York. mxdwn details a summer stretch hitting Minnesota, Illinois, Utah, Vancouver, Washington, California, Colorado, Arizona, Texas and Georgia, with the final fall leg routing through North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio and Massachusetts.
Dexter And The Moonrocks and Band Of Horses will join on various dates, mxdwn reports, with Band Of Horses on the spring dates marked with a caret and Dexter And The Moonrocks on the September and October shows marked with an asterisk.
