Terms of Use

Last updated October 4, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your access to and use of the ShareDot apps for iOS and Android, the website at sharedot.com, and our other services (together, the “Services”), provided by ShareDot, Inc. (“ShareDot”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree to all of them, don’t use the Services. If you have questions, email us at contact@sharedot.com.

Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the date above, and we’ll tell you about material changes in the app or on our website. Unless we say otherwise, changes take effect when we post them. If you keep using the Services after that, you accept them. If you don’t agree, stop using the Services and delete your account.

Age requirements

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to use the Services, whichever is higher. If you’re under 18, you need your parent’s or legal guardian’s permission.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect about you, how we use it and who we share it with, including the third-party AI services your agent uses.

Eligibility

By using the Services, you confirm that you can legally agree to these Terms. If you use the Services on behalf of another person or an organization, “you” includes them, you confirm that you’re authorized to accept these Terms for them, and they’re responsible if you or they break these Terms.

You may not use the Services if you’re located in, or a citizen or resident of, a country or territory embargoed by the United States, or anywhere your use of the Services would be illegal. We may restrict access to the Services from any such place.

Your account

You sign in to ShareDot with a passkey, which your device or password manager keeps. You’re responsible for keeping your devices and passkeys secure and for activity on your account. Tell us promptly at contact@sharedot.com if you think someone has used your account without your permission.

Your handle is the name in your public address (sharedot.com/@handle). We may reclaim or change a handle that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark or other right, or breaks these Terms.

You can delete your account at any time, in the app (Profile, then Delete account) or on the web at sharedot.com/account/delete.

Your content

The Services let you save links, photos and screenshots, write notes and instructions for your agent, fill in a profile, and keep or publish the pages your agent makes (together, “Your Content”). As between you and us, you keep all rights in Your Content.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, adapt and display Your Content, and to have our service providers do so on our behalf, only as needed to operate, provide, secure and improve the Services. That includes having your agent read Your Content with third-party AI services. For anything you choose to make public, such as your profile and published pages, the license also lets us show it to anyone and let people share links to it. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies kept as described in our Privacy Policy, and for content other people have already shared or saved.

You’re responsible for Your Content. You confirm that you have the rights needed to save and share it and to grant this license, and that it doesn’t break these Terms or anyone’s rights. We don’t have to monitor content, but we may remove or restrict any content, or limit or suspend an account, if we believe it breaks these Terms or the law, or puts people or the Services at risk.

Your agent and AI-generated content

ShareDot uses artificial intelligence, including services from third parties, to read what you save, look things up, decide what to do with it and write pages for you. AI can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Pages and notifications your agent makes are for general information only. They aren’t financial, investment, legal, medical or other professional advice, and you shouldn’t rely on them for such decisions. Check anything important with the original source.

Your public profile

Every account has a public profile at sharedot.com/@handle, with your name, handle, bio, location, interests and profile photos. Anyone can see it, including people without a ShareDot account, so only put there what you’re happy for anyone to see. Anything else you choose to make public can be seen there too. You can change or remove it at any time, but others may have seen or shared it before you do.

Prohibited conduct and content

You’re responsible for how you use the Services. You won’t break any law, contract or anyone’s intellectual property or other rights. You also won’t:

You also won’t save, post or share content that:

Enforcing these rules is at our discretion, and not enforcing them in one case doesn’t waive our right to enforce them in another. They don’t create rights for anyone else or a promise that the Services will contain no content that breaks them. To report content or an account that breaks these Terms, email contact@sharedot.com.

Ownership and your license to use ShareDot

The Services, including their software, text, graphics, images and design, are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Except for Your Content, all rights are reserved. As long as you follow these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use.

Trademarks

ShareDot, our logos, product names and slogans, and the look and feel of the Services are our trademarks. Don’t use them without our written permission, except as the law allows. Other names and marks belong to their owners, and mentioning them doesn’t mean they endorse us or we endorse them.

Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or other feedback, we may use it for any purpose without paying or crediting you, and we may treat it as non-confidential.

Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual property rights and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe them. If you believe something on the Services infringes a copyright you own or control, send a notice that meets the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to contact@sharedot.com. If you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing, you may be liable for costs and damages. Some uses, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship or research, may be fair use.

Third-party content and services

Your saves and pages link to and show content from other websites and services, such as YouTube, Spotify, maps and news sites. We don’t control or endorse them and aren’t responsible for their content, products or practices. Your use of them, and any dealings with them, are between you and them, under their terms.

Apps from the App Store and Google Play

If you got a ShareDot app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and ShareDot, not Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for the app and its content, its maintenance and support, any product claims (including product liability, legal compliance, and consumer protection claims), and any claim that the app infringes someone else’s intellectual property. To the extent the law allows, Apple and Google have no warranty obligation for the app. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. You must also follow the store’s terms, and any third-party terms that apply when you use the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and can enforce them against you.

Disclaimers

You use the Services at your own risk. Except where we say otherwise in writing, the Services and all content in them are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Services, or anything your agent produces, will be accurate, complete, reliable, current, uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ShareDot and its officers, directors, employees, agents and licensors won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, under any theory of liability, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to these Terms or the Services is limited to the amount you paid us to use the Services.

These limits don’t apply to liability for our gross negligence, fraud or willful misconduct, or to anything else the law doesn’t let us limit. Some places don’t allow these limitations, so some may not apply to you.

Where your data is processed

To provide the Services, we process, transfer and store information about you in the United States and other countries, where the law may give you different protections than where you live. The Privacy Policy explains more.

Governing law and venue

These Terms and any dispute about them or the Services are governed by the laws of the State of California, except where U.S. federal law applies, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can’t be heard in small claims court will be resolved in the state or federal courts in San Francisco County, California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.

Changing or ending the Services

We may change, suspend or stop all or part of the Services at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we must by law. You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive the end of these Terms, including Your content (except your license to use the Services), Feedback, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability and Governing law, survive.

General

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and ShareDot about the Services and replace any earlier agreements about them. If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a right, we haven’t waived it. Section titles are for convenience only. You may not transfer these Terms without our written consent; we may transfer them, for example as part of a merger or sale. You agree that we can communicate with you electronically, including in the app.
