Yeezy returns to the runway after four years, with two new footwear models — the Yeezy 800 and AB-01 — set to drop in December.

What Is New Since the Announcement

Yeezy's Season 01 runway show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday at Droam 1, the brand's new flagship at 4317 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles — a detail WWD and Style Rave both confirm.

The presentation doubles as a celebration of the brand's first brick-and-mortar store, a point Page Six highlights as the first physical retail space in Yeezy's new independent era.

A Reset After the Adidas Collapse

The runway return arrives nearly four years after the brand's last major show, Yeezy Season 9 in Paris in October 2022, which Page Six notes was marred by 'White Lives Matter' shirts and a walking-out by attendees including Jaden Smith.

The fallout ended Yeezy's multibillion-dollar Adidas partnership, and Page Six reports Gap, Vogue and Balenciaga also severed ties, with Ye never recovering a retail partner afterward.

WWD notes Ye published a full-page Wall Street Journal advertisement in January 2026 titled 'To Those I've Hurt,' attributing his past behavior to bipolar disorder linked to an undiagnosed brain injury from a 2002 car accident, while acknowledging the diagnosis did not excuse his actions.

The Evidence of a Quiet Rebuild

The relaunch has been incremental rather than explosive. According to WWD, Yeezy began the year by selling wardrobe essentials directly through its website, then expanded distribution when JD Sports began stocking independent Yeezy footwear in August.

Style Rave characterizes this as a deliberate shift to direct-to-consumer selling and external retail partners outside the former Adidas arrangement, with the Droam 1 flagship adding a physical space to present and sell product.

Choosing the name Season 01 is itself a signal: Style Rave notes the label's original runway collection debuted in 2015 and numbered through Season 9, so restarting the count frames this as a fresh beginning rather than a continuation.

What the Season 01 Shoes Look Like

WWD reports the Yeezy 800 has been previewed in an all-black 'Stealth' colorway featuring a mesh base and angular overlays, while the AB-01 is described as a military-inspired lace-up boot.

Ye has also teased additional Yeezy 800 colorways in pastel blue, green and yellow, though WWD says those releases remain unconfirmed. Neither model has a stated launch date or price.

The Stakes for Wednesday Night

Style Rave observes that the announcement does not erase the circumstances of the brand's earlier setbacks, but shows Ye's intention to keep building Yeezy as an independent label, now without the major commercial partnerships that powered its first era.

Details of the Season 01 collection — number of looks, models, footwear releases and creative direction — have not been disclosed, per Style Rave. Page Six notes Yeezy representatives did not immediately respond to its request for comment.

Whether the show revisits the oversized silhouettes and muted palettes that defined earlier seasons, or introduces something new, remains to be seen; what is set is December's footwear, the new flagship, and the industry's first sustained look at Yeezy since 2022.
