Ye made a surprise masked appearance during Chris Brown and Usher's R&B Tour stop at SoFi Stadium on September 25, performing a run of classics.

Ye appeared as a special guest during the first of Chris Brown and Usher's Los Angeles dates on The R&B Tour, taking the SoFi Stadium stage unannounced on Friday, September 25. According to Complex, he performed a four-song medley: "Runaway," "All of the Lights," "Flashing Lights" and "Can't Tell Me Nothing." TMZ posted video of the moment and reported that fans sang along to his biggest hits as the stadium reacted. InMusic notes he wore a new full-face mask for the set.

The cameo was Ye's first reported time on stage since September 4, when he closed the second night of his Soldier Field homecoming in Chicago on the Ye Live Concert Tour, according to Complex. That Chicago run doubled as a reunion with Kid Cudi, Big Sean, Travis Scott, Common, Twista and Lupe Fiasco, and Complex reports it was his first reported appearance since that night. Geo News adds that the Chicago finale was a three-hour, 60-track performance before a reported crowd of more than 70,000, making the SoFi pop-up another checkpoint in an active comeback cycle.

Multiple outlets documented the moment. That Grape Juice gathered fan-posted highlight clips circulating on social media the following morning. Geo News describes the look — a mask reminiscent of his Yeezus era paired with a sleek black leather outfit — and says the packed stadium responded with loud cheers as performance videos spread online.

The R&B Tour has become known for its guest list, and InMusic reports the run has already featured 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Future, Nelly, Lil Baby, Jadakiss, Fat Joe, Ashanti and Method Man. Complex counts the trek at 59 dates after launching June 26 at Empower Field in Denver, wrapping December 12 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Brown and Usher returned to SoFi on Saturday night for night two, with two more Los Angeles shows set for November 20 and 21 — so the Ye moment may not be the last big guest slot in the city.

The appearance lands in the middle of Ye's own touring cycle. InMusic reports that his two Soldier Field shows on September 3 and 4 sold 129,562 tickets and grossed a combined $29.8 million per recent Pollstar figures cited in reports, with the second night's $15.76 million called the highest single-night gross in Soldier Field history. Complex says his Ye Live Concert Tour continues October 24 in Indonesia before U.S. dates in Houston and Arlington, Texas, concluding November 21 in Glendale, Arizona. He has prior history with both headliners, having appeared with Brown on "Waves" and "Down" and featured on Usher's "Confessions Part II," per Complex.

Brown and Usher played SoFi again Saturday evening, September 26, and Complex notes they return to Los Angeles for two more shows on November 20 and 21, leaving open the possibility of further A-list cameos. TMZ goes further, writing that with the tour running until December 12, it would not be surprised if a few more stars pop up before it wraps.
