The Weeknd closed the After Hours Til Dawn Tour in Kuala Lumpur with a $1.3 billion gross, reported as the highest ever for a male artist.

A four-year run ends in Kuala Lumpur

The After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour came to a close Wednesday night, November 4, with a final performance at TM Stadium National in Kuala Lumpur, ending a four-year global run that began in July 2022.

Across that stretch the tour spanned 176 shows in 67 cities, 30 countries and five continents, selling more than nine million tickets and grossing over $1.3 billion USD. The fall leg brought the tour to Asia for the first time, with 16 other sold-out stadium shows preceding the finale.

An Asia leg originally announced at 11 dates expanded to 17 shows on demand, including three nights in Bangkok and four in Hong Kong. Both hiphopcanada.com and The Music Universe report the same closing-night details from Live Nation's announcement.

Why the number is historic

According to both pack reports, the tour is now the highest-grossing by a male artist in history and one of only a handful of tours ever to cross the billion-dollar mark — a milestone no male artist had reached before.

The momentum held to the very end: The Music Universe reports the final year alone sold more than 3 million tickets and grossed over $500 million in 2026, and that in July the tour topped Billboard's monthly Boxscore chart with more than $120 million grossed and nearly 900,000 tickets sold in a single month.

Records shattered market by market

The Music Universe's account lists the venue-level firsts that stacked into the headline number: a Rogers Centre record in Toronto with six performances by a male solo artist on a single tour, also a venue record for a Canadian artist; a SoFi Stadium record in Los Angeles for most performances and highest gross by a male artist across seven shows; and a first-ever six sold-out nights at Stade de France in Paris, part of 13 sold-out French stadium shows on the tour and more than 500,000 fans across France in summer 2026 alone.

The same report credits over 450,000 fans across seven sold-out UK stadium shows in 2026, ticket buyers from nearly 150 countries, and a new mark as the highest-selling international male solo artist in Hong Kong with four sold-out stadium shows and nearly 200,000 tickets.

Charity, and a Faye Wong curveball

Both outlets relay that The Weeknd has donated $8.5 million to date to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen for hunger relief and education, with $3 million of that raised in 2026 for the UN World Food Programme and a new Global Citizen campaign on barriers facing women and girls.

hiphopcanada.com also highlights the tour's coda release: 'Hong Kong' with Cantopop icon Faye Wong, issued October 31 after a live debut on October 24 at Kai Tak Stadium.

Per hiphopcanada.com's read of the release, the single had the biggest first-day debut for a non-Mandarin song in five years on NetEase Cloud Music and the biggest-ever Western male artist debut on QQ Music, making The Weeknd the first Western artist in 2026 to top all three major QQ charts on release day — a fittingly record-laden final chapter.
