Billboard and CBC report Lainey Wilson stunned Canadian singer Kalsey Kulyk with a video invitation to make her Grand Ole Opry debut on Nov. 21.

During the CCMAs Legends Showcase in Saskatoon on September 17, singer-songwriter Patricia Conroy told Kalsey Kulyk she had a secret to reveal, then stepped aside for a surprise video message from Lainey Wilson. According to Billboard, Wilson praised Kulyk's voice and recalled their first collaboration, "Dreamcatcher," released on Wilson's self-titled EP back in 2018. Wilson then asked Kulyk if she was available to make her Grand Ole Opry debut on Nov. 21, prompting cheers as Kulyk danced around the room overcome with excitement. The Opry debut caps a Saskatchewan sweep: CBC reports Langenburg's Jess Moskaluke was separately surprised with her own Opry invitation while presenting at the CCMA Awards, scheduling her for March 2027 — meaning two home-province singers will play the venue within months of each other even though no Saskatchewan act won a CCMA trophy that weekend. CBC quotes Moskaluke saying she plans to keep writing and wants to "leave everything on stage." According to Billboard, the exchange will come full circle when Wilson returns the favor by playing Toronto's Rogers Stadium in May 2027, opening four shows for Harry Styles on the final run of his Together, Together tour.
