Hila Klein, 38, wrote that she had sensed something was wrong but was "met with dismissive answers and no action" when she raised concerns, eventually questioning her own instincts and sanity.

According to her account, Ethan's story kept shifting: "'It was just a kiss' became 'it was emotional cheating,'" before he admitted to an affair lasting more than six months, whose full extent she said she still does not know.

"The person I loved and trusted for 20 years evaporated overnight. He was my safe place, my partner in marriage, parenting, and business," she wrote, confirming the couple is separating.

The H3 team said it was "shocked, angry, and heartbroken" and did not hold back: "We're disgusted by Ethan's actions and the hurt he has caused. We all deserved better: Hila, us, and you."

The crew stressed members were safe, "sticking together, and looking after each other," asked fans for time to figure things out, and admitted it does not yet know what the decision means for the show's future.

The statement also directly told followers the team stands with Hila and will support her "every step of the way."

The reversal is stark because Ethan and Hila built the brand together: they started H3H3 Productions in 2011, launched the H3 Podcast in late 2016, and grew it to roughly 2.5 million YouTube subscribers.

Hila's show — a live comedy and commentary program — has long made Ethan's marriage a pillar of his on-air persona; fellow YouTuber Quinton Reviews noted that "so much of his personality has been about his marriage to Hila," according to The Mary Sue.

The crew's unanimous severing of ties from within, rather than an external platform or advertiser acting, is what makes the collapse unusual.

Social media users began speculating that the affair involved Tamara Joseph, an animator who joined H3 in 2025, pointing to her recent absence from the show, crew members unfollowing her and Ethan, and a lack of interaction with Hila's post.

According to Hindustan Times, however, there is no proof Ethan cheated with Tamara, and neither Ethan nor Hila has addressed who the other person was. EasternEye reported it is not naming anyone because none of the speculation has been verified.

He confirmed only the hiatus itself, and Ethan reportedly reposted Hila's statement — which The Mary Sue notes some fans read as an admission of guilt and others as possible trolling. Nobody has announced the show's end, a rebrand, or a new format; the crew says there is "a lot to work through."

Hila, for her part, says she is in "survival mode" navigating separation and co-parenting three young sons.
