Harry Styles closed his record-setting 30-night MSG run with a Harryween show featuring costumes, a Jalen Brunson banner, and a Village Voice tribute.

Pizza Rat Says Goodbye to the Garden

Harry Styles brought his record-setting 30-night "Together, Together" residency at Madison Square Garden to a close over Halloween weekend, according to Variety's report via Yahoo.

The finale was a pair of "Harryween" concerts: on Friday, Styles appeared as 1970s-era Elvis Presley, while Saturday saw him dressed as "Pizza Rat," the notorious 2015 meme of a rat dragging a pizza slice down subway stairs.

His band joined the tribute, dressed as local icons including the Statue of Liberty, Andy Warhol, and Anna Wintour, and Styles delivered a cover of Talking Heads' "Psycho Killer" as another nod to New York music history.

Brunson Returns the Banner Favor

The capstone of Saturday's finale came when New York Knicks captain Jalen Brunson took the stage to present Styles with a banner commemorating his 30th night at the Garden.

"A couple weeks ago, Harry was so kind to join me and my team on our banner night, and I thought I, on behalf of MSG and the Knicks, would do the same," Brunson said, per Variety. The gesture completed a mutual banner exchange between the pop star and the world-champion Knicks.

Variety also notes that Friday's encore saw Styles revive his 2010 "X-Factor" audition look to sing Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely," the performance that clinched his spot in One Direction over 15 years ago.

A Village Voice Time Capsule

Vogue reports that Styles marked the residency's end with a special print issue of The Village Voice, the iconic downtown paper that largely ceased print operations in 2017.

In an opening note addressed to "friends, strangers, citizens of New York," Styles writes that "the energy of the audiences, the openness, the dancing, the sheer joy, will never leave me; it altered me."

Vogue describes the issue as a carefully composed time capsule of the 30 nights, featuring his opening acts — Tinashe, Jamie xx, Caroline Polachek, Lainey Wilson, and Tears for Fears among them — plus his band and MSG crew, coverage of the tour's work with Planned Parenthood, Food Bank For NYC, HeadCount, and Choose Love, and extensive show photography.

What Comes Next for 'Together, Together'

According to Variety, the nine-week residency's presence reached far beyond the arena — from fan encounters on the Williamsburg Bridge to One Direction karaoke and a post-Harryween bar crawl — with tour sponsor AmEx running pop-up shops across lower Manhattan throughout the run.

As the final show ended, Styles told the audience: "You've changed my life over and over again... Thank you for dancing with me. When I wrote this album, I wanted it to feel exactly like this."

The tour now heads to Australia later this month for Styles's final shows of the year, resumes in the U.S. in April 2027, and is slated to conclude in August with three consecutive nights at Wembley Stadium.

Variety also reports a "Together, Together" tour documentary is in the works from John Wilson and Universal Pictures Content Group.
