The latest South Park episode aired what outlets say is genuine Grand Theft Auto VI footage, in which protagonist Jason attacks an NPC with dog poop.
A Sneak Peek Ahead of the Nov. 19 Release
On Wednesday's Comedy Central episode "Guinea Pig on a Stick," the kids visit a local cattle ranch and get a look at Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of its Nov. 19 release.
Deadline reports the footage features a new gameplay mechanic in which the protagonist Jason fights an NPC on Vice Beach with a bag of dog poop.
A teasing insider narrates: "You see the world-building? It's a dog taking a poop... you can pick up the dog poop and actually attack them with the dog poop." Cartman's verdict: "Dude, that game looks fucking tits!"
Why Fans Think the Poop Clip Is Real
The surprise is that the gag may not be a parody at all. Mashable reports that Rockstar had previously confirmed dog poop could be used as a weapon in GTA 6, and that the narration comes from Tish Hicks, the voice actress who narrated a GTA 5 gameplay trailer years ago.
Mashable notes the episode's credits include the message "Special thanks: Grand Theft Auto VI footage courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc.", suggesting the clip is authentic; the outlet reached out to Rockstar to confirm and will update if the company responds.

Mashable describes the scene as consisting entirely of a dog pooping, Jason picking up the poop, and Jason hitting an NPC in the face with it — footage the outlet says had not been seen before, "not even courtesy of Cyberleek," the leak group behind earlier GTA 6 map and gameplay leaks.
Because it is South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker deliver the reveal in their usual ripped-from-the-headlines mode, reviving the gaming satire tradition of the 2006 episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft."
The Beef Shortage B-Plot, per The Guardian
The Guardian's review frames the episode as a middling entry spinning its wheels, with Cartman mourning a sloppy joe that turns out to be cuy — guinea pig on a stick — under the show's season-long "South America" rebrand.
The Guardian reads the exploding-diarrhea beef plot as commentary on the real US beef shortage and MAHA-driven beef tallow enthusiasm, while Randy, still miniaturized after a Sephora looksmaxxing mishap, begs to join the gang.
The kids solve the shortage by rebranding the guinea pig dish as a patriotic delicacy that produces the same red, white and blue fireworks.
A Makeshift Story Arc Building to November
The bigger television story may be structural. The Guardian observes that characters keep calling GTA 6's release the "big change" coming in November, and that Ruth Chris's top-secret gameplay video finally elaborates on the gag in a way that feels like a piece-moving setup.
The Guardian speculates the game will figure into the season finale, which airs not long after the Nov. 19 launch; Deadline separately notes the joke doubles as Trey Parker and Matt Stone's satirical nudge toward the Nov.
