BTS' Arirang tour has sold nearly 2.4 million tickets across 41 stadium shows, rewriting who fills the world's biggest venues.
A 23-date Asian and Australian stretch begins November 19
BTS' Arirang world tour has already sold nearly 2.4 million tickets across 41 stadium shows in North America, Europe and the UK, according to That Eric Alper, and the group now heads into another enormous run: 23 more stadium dates across nine cities from November into March 2027.
That Eric Alper details the itinerary — three nights at Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan beginning November 19, three at Bangkok's Rajamangala National Stadium, two in Kuala Lumpur, four at Singapore's National Stadium, two at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium right after Christmas, then Australia in February with two shows each at Melbourne's Marvel Stadium and Sydney's Accor Stadium, before closing with three Hong Kong concerts at Kai Tak Stadium and two in Bulacan, Philippines.
First K-pop act to headline these NFL-sized stadiums
The most striking part, That Eric Alper argues, is not how many tickets BTS are selling but how completely they have changed the conversation about who gets to fill the world's biggest venues.
The outlet reports BTS have become the first K-pop group to headline concerts at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough — buildings normally reserved for football and the biggest names in entertainment.
That Eric Alper also credits ARMY, noting that fans buying tickets, booking travel and taking time off work represent a dedication no amount of social media attention can manufacture.
A 360-degree stage and a tour built around the audience
That Eric Alper describes the production as just as revealing as the numbers: BTS are performing on a 360-degree, in-the-round stage, placing themselves at the center of the stadium rather than the far end, expanding capacity while changing how the audience experiences the show.
The tour is BTS's first headline tour together since Permission to Dance on Stage, which included 12 sold-out performances across Seoul, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
It opened with three sold-out nights in Goyang, South Korea, before moving through Tokyo and into North America, and demand was so intense that additional shows in Tampa, Stanford and Las Vegas were announced and immediately sold out.
A theatrical release could bridge the gap for fans
For fans who could not get tickets, DailyDrama reports that industry sources suggest a major theatrical release of the Arirang tour is on the horizon, giving ARMY a second, more accessible chance to experience the shows on the big screen.
The outlet frames it as a proven formula, pointing to BTS's previous films Burn the Stage: The Movie, Bring the Soul: The Movie and Break the Silence: The Movie, and notes the timing is strategic as members navigate solo releases and mandatory service, keeping the group's collective flame burning during a period of transition.
