Each of the four episodes runs 60 minutes, for a total of roughly four hours of runtime. The project is directed by Floyd Russ and executive produced by Bill Simmons, Jim Gray, and Ian Orefice, with cinematography by David Bolen and Jacob Moller, an original score by Raffertie, and editing by Wax Taber and Dan Duran. Sports Illustrated reports that the series comes from the same brain trust behind 'American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson,' and frames Tyson as representing a golden era of boxing after Muhammad Ali's retirement.
